Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

RaceData ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website (racedata.app) and use the RaceData platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

By using RaceData you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

1. Who we are

RaceData is operated by Race Data, located at 15800 Pines Blvd, Suite 3015, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33027, United States. We provide a web platform for the management of racing teams: timing, data acquisition, tyres, setup, video, sporting reports and related operations.

For any privacy matter you can contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three categories:

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Account data: name, email, password, team or organization, role, country, phone number.
  • Billing data: billing address, tax identification when applicable. Card data is processed by our payment processor and never stored on our servers.
  • Operational data uploaded by you: timing files, data acquisition files, setups, tyre and fuel records, driver feedback, photos, onboard videos, sporting calendars and any other content you load into the platform.
  • Communications: messages you send via our forms, email or chat.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, time zone.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, click paths, errors.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see section 8 below.

2.3 Information from third parties

If you sign in with a third-party identity provider, link an external timing system (for example MyLaps SpeedHive), or integrate any other service, we may receive information from those providers as authorized by you.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate and maintain the RaceData platform.
  • Authenticate users, enforce permissions and isolate data per team.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions and issue invoices.
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
  • Send service-related communications (account, billing, security, updates).
  • Send marketing communications only when you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Improve the platform: measure usage, fix bugs, develop new features.
  • Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse or security incidents.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Legal basis (GDPR / equivalent regimes)

Where data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to deliver the service you subscribed to.
  • Legitimate interest: to keep the service secure, improve it and grow the business.
  • Consent: for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting and other statutory requirements.

5. Confidentiality of your competitive data

Your car data, your acquisition files, your setups and your sporting files are your competitive edge. We treat them as strictly confidential:

  • Your team's data is isolated from other teams. No outsider has access.
  • Access inside the platform is governed by role-based permissions you control.
  • Your data is never used to train models or shared with competitors.
  • The database and the files you upload remain yours and can be exported at any time.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with:

  • Service providers acting under our instructions and a confidentiality obligation: cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, customer support tools and analytics.
  • Integrations you enable (for example timing providers): only the data you authorize is exchanged.
  • Authorities when required by law, court order or to protect rights, property or safety.
  • Business transactions: in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred subject to this Privacy Policy.

7. Data storage, security and retention

Your information travels encrypted (TLS) and is stored encrypted at rest on professional-grade cloud infrastructure with redundancy and automatic backups.

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No system is 100% secure, but we work to follow industry best practices and to notify you of significant security incidents that affect your data.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for the time required to comply with our legal, accounting or reporting obligations. You can request earlier deletion as described in section 9.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate users, remember preferences, measure usage and improve the service. The main categories are:

  • Strictly necessary: required for login, security and basic operation.
  • Performance and analytics: aggregate usage metrics that help us improve the platform.
  • Marketing: only when you have opted in.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the service from working properly.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten") where applicable.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time frames required by applicable law.

10. International transfers

RaceData operates from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We apply appropriate safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other regions that require them.

11. Children's privacy

RaceData is intended for professional and amateur teams of legal age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you review their own privacy policies.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when changes are material, provide additional notice (for example by email or a banner inside the platform). Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
